Following the recent penchant for ancestoral photographs here are some of mine on my Mum's side. Grandad was of Scottish origin somewhere down the line (hence McDougall) and Nan is French (LePecheur)...They met while Grandad was serving in France in WW2 and came to England after my mother was born.

PULL'S FERRY.

Pull's Ferry, on the river Wensum, Norwich. This is just at the bottom of the road where I work (until next week anyway...) taken in the snow last week. It had already taken us 1hr 45mins to drive 20 miles get to work in the snow so Ifigured another 10 minutes wouldn't hurt!!!

Update for JP - Not taken from a plane - just from my front doorstep. What you can't see in the pic is the roof of the bungalow opposite as I mucked around with the exposure when I took it to darken the foreground!

A COLD, CLEAR MORNING
|

A particulaly clear morning on the way to work last Friday, winding my way down through the streets of our "Fine City". Loads of Jet-trails were visible for some reason...is there a scientific reason for this??? I assume they are always there but not always visible (there is an airport in Norwich) but I dunno. What I do know is that you get some funny old looks from people when you stop to take photographs in the middle of rush hour - a mixture of mild disdain and bemusement...CHILL OUT & SLOW DOWN PEOPLE!!!
